Excellence Community Schools (ECS) is a 3-time National Blue Ribbon School Recipient. We are a charter management, non-profit organization serving K-8 students in the Bronx, NY, and Stamford, CT. Our network of twelve schools includes elementary and middle schools at Bronx Charter School for Excellence 1-5 and Stamford Charter School for Excellence.

In 2012, Bronx Excellence 1 was the first charter school in the Bronx to receive a National Blue Ribbon, awarded by the United States Department of Education in the category of "Exemplary High Performing Schools". In 2023, both Bronx Excellence 2 and Stamford Excellence were also recognized as National Blue Ribbon Schools.  

Our schools are based on our flagship school, Bronx Excellence 1. As a network, we offer a differentiated, project-based learning environment that seeks to develop high-level analytical and critical thinking skills in all of our scholars. We differ from other charter management organizations because of our Blue Ribbon award-winning Excellence Model.
