Co-Curricular

Excellence Community Schools believes that co-curricular opportunities are critical to ensuring that our scholars are well-rounded members of society when they graduate. Our scholars are able to participate in activities during the school day like music and capoeira. After-school our Bobcats have the opportunity to participate in athletics, glee club, robotics club, student government and city-wide competitions such as the SMARTS Spelling Bee and the Annual Urban Advantage Science Fair.

Athletics

We participate with the Charter School Athletic Association. The sports offered at the schools may vary each school year; Boys and Girls Basketball, Softball, Soccer, Track and Volleyball.

Our athletic offerings allow scholars to continually build their self-confidence, develop their team building skills as well as understand the responsibilities of a student-athlete. These on- and off-court life lessons will benefit our scholars now and in the future. Daily our scholars are developing real-time strategies while practicing active leadership, team dynamics, and listening skills which are vital to realizing accomplishment in school, sports and beyond.
