SCHOLARSHIPS

The HS Placement Team provides intensive support to each family. In the last 2 years, over $85,000 in scholarships were awarded to alumni. In addition, select alumni attended the STEM and Shakespeare Summer Program at Colgate University. Other outside selective enrichment opportunities include:

The Alumni Services and High School Placement departments guide scholars through the application processes of various high schools and universities. The entire Excellence community prides itself on keeping a close, personal relationship with alumni in high school, college and beyond. ECS and Bronx Excellence 1 sponsor several enrichment opportunities which include:

COLLEGE AND CAREER WEEK

In the past 2 years, twenty different professionals in various fields visited students in their classrooms. Students heard from medical doctors, an environmental scientist, an accountant, a photographer, a formal federal prosecutor, a Wharton business school student, a venture capitalist, a denim expert, a video producer for the New York Giants as well as company reps from AGRUP, Twitter and Boys Hope/Girls Hope.

Traditionally scholars who make the Honor Roll are also selected to go on field trips to various offices throughout the city. Below is a list of some the past organizations scholars visited during Career Week: Morgan Stanley, Math for America, Venture for America, Bronx Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare, The Little Card Company, JLL Real Estate, Fit for Dance.
